Lehman High School's Department of Foreign Languages/ESL offers a full spread of courses in Spanish, Italian, and English as a Second Language (ESL).  Our Italian and Spanish programs offer a full curriculum supporting basic foreign language requirements and an Avanced Regents Diploma.  Our foreign language program currently offers AP (Advanced Placement) Spanish Language, AP Spanish Literature, and College Italian through the University at Albany (SUNY Albany) University in the High School Program.  AP Italian is also scheduled to be offered for the 2011-2012 school year.  Our ESL program services over 400 English Language Learners (ELLs).  We offer an exceptional after-school program to help advance our ELLs, utilizing Rosetta Stone software and one-on-one support.
